Several ongoing projects are funded from H2020, TUBITAK, or Industry in ESOGU-IFARLAB (https://ifarlab.ogu.edu.tr/). The projects consist of studies related to topics including but not limited to Industry 4.0, Autonomous Robots, Big data, Cybersecurity, ML, DL, and Verification & Validation.
Full-time Graduate Students and Engineers are looked for two positions.
Position #1: Robotic Systems Engineer
Main tasks include
- Design and implement an industrial robotic system by integrating industrial robots, sensors, depth cameras, and various devices.
- Create complete documentation for robotic systems
- Develop software libraries and perform unit/integration tests for equipment (robot, sensors, actuators, drivers, etc.)
- Design and implement workspace 3D mapping and motion planning for a robotic system by using open source tools.
- Deploy software on a robot platform and demonstrate its application on a set of tasks.
- Keep abreast of advancements in robotics and relevant fields of engineering
- Write scientific publication
Requirements:
- Strong theoretical background and experience in C++/ Python programming. (Must)
- Experience in implementation and programming in Linux-based systems (Must)
- Experience with version control software, e.g., git, svn; (Desired)
- Experience with real robotic systems (Plus)
- Experience with robotic programming and software, e.g., ROS, Gazebo, etc. (plus)
- Familiarity with the sensors, especially depth cameras, 2D/3D image processing libraries such as OpenGL, OpenCV, PCL, etc. (Plus)
- Oral and written fluency in English. Good communication, team working and presentation skills (Desired)
- Strong analytical skills to manage and carry out technical tasks effectively (Plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills, a critical thinker, and able to develop efficient systems (Plus)
- Bring-in service improvement to existing processes with his/her experience (Plus)
Position #2: Software Engineer
Main tasks include
- Design, implement and improve safety verification methods for robotic systems
- Design, implement and test software architectures, libraries, GUIs.
- Write scientific publication
Requirements:
- Strong theoretical background and experience in C++/ Python programming. (Must)
- Experience in implementation and programming in Linux-based systems (Must)
- Experience with version control software, e.g., git, svn; (Must)
- Knowledge of software architecture design and object-oriented programming (Must)
- Knowledge of formal modeling structures like timed automata, Petri nets, etc. (Desired)
- Knowledge of UML, various modeling languages. (Desired)
- Oral and written fluency in English. Good communication, team working and presentation skills; (Desired)
- Strong analytical skills to manage and carry out technical tasks effectively (Plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills, a critical thinker, and able to develop efficient systems (Plus)
- Bring-in service improvement to existing processes with his/her experience (Plus)
