ESOGU teams, Ceren Adıyaman, Gamze Dağ, and Burak Kanber in the Cloud Computing category, and Fatih Özcan, Murat Özcan, and Zekeriya Orman in the Computing category, have made us proud with their outstanding performances, surpassing many universities in Europe. Under the academic guidance of our Computer Engineering department faculty member Dr. Savaş Okyay, Cloud team which won first place in Europe, has been selected to represent the region and has qualified for the Global Finals, where global giants will compete. They will represent both our university and our country in Huawei 2025-2026 International Information Technology Competition World Finals in Shenzhen, China, June 2-5, 2026.
In, 2025, Eskişehir Osmangazi University Computer Engineering students (Barış Yırtıncı, Ceren Adıyaman, and Caner Coşkun), under the academic guidance of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yazıcı, the director of The Center for Intelligent Systems and Applications Research, proudly represented Eskişehir Osmangazi University at the Huawei 2024-2025 International Information Technology Competition World Finals in Shenzhen, China, achieving third place globally and bringing a bronze medal to Türkiye. In 2024, Barış Yırtıncı, a Computer Engineering student from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, and his team from Yalova University, after achieving second place in the European regional finals, secured third place internationally at the Huawei 2023-2024 International Information Technology Competition World Finals in Shenzhen, China, in the Cloud Computing category of the 8th Huawei ICT Competition.
On December 4, 2023, Eskişehir Osmangazi University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei, becoming a member of the Huawei ICT Academy.
The deputy director of The Center for Intelligent Systems and Applications Research, Prof.Dr. İnci Sarıçiçek, is coordinating the ICT Academy at ESOGU.
Through the ICT Academy (Huawei Information and Communication Technologies Academy) Program, Huawei Turkey collaborates with numerous universities across Turkey to provide up-to-date technological training courses aimed at developing students in the field of information technology.
